Why business central fixed asset depreciation amount is different from my calculation

  Upon data migration to Business Central, customers often wonder why the monthly depreciation amount is different from their calculations. The only explanation we've identified so far is that the data provided for the migration inadvertently caused either over- or under-depreciation of depreciation amounts. How business central handle intercompany transaction easily

Intercompany transactions in Business Central allow you to make transactions with your intercompany partners. You can create intercompany transactions by creating an Invoice or a Purchase Invoice. Transactions made with intercompany transaction send separate documents with their own document numbers to each company. To establish intercompany transactions, intercompany partners must establish a common chart of accounts and common dimensions, where each company's chart of accounts and dimensions are mapped to the intercompany chart of accounts and dimensions. Before you able to create a Sales Invoice or Purchase Invoice to your intercompany partners, there are some configurations need to complete in between the company you administer and the company your partner is managing.      1.        Setup Intercompany Partner Code   This setup will allow the system to differentiate which entity under the same Business Central should the invoice direct to. The Intercompany Partner Code should be unique and agreed upon by all companies. How to Record Disposal of Fixed Asset and Acquisition in the same time (Trade-In) Business Central

  A company is going to acquire a new car for $100,000. However, the supplier agrees to give a discount of $5,000 if the company agree to trade-in an old car with the new car. The cost of the old car is $ 120,000 and accumulated depreciation of $ 112,500. It means the company sells an old car for $ 5,000 and buys a new car that costs $ 100,000. They end up paying $ 95,000 only. Disposal of Fixed Asset in Business Central

You can perform Fixed Asset Disposal in Business Central in Fixed Asset G/L Journals . The reason for performing fixed asset disposal may be result of several events: i.                       An asset is fully depreciated and must be disposed of ii.                        An asset needs to be removed due to unforeseen events (EG., theft) iii.                     An asset was captured with wrong information and need to be reversed   In the following example here, the user has registered the asset in the fixed asset book, and there is depreciation being perform too, but later identified that the asset was registered with wrong date. It will be easier to dispose this asset and capture again using new Fixed Asset ID.
